We are lucky enough to be in Whistler, Canada for Christmas week. Skiing is a holiday that really works for us - the children are in all day ski school while Michael and I put in a bit of effort before heading to a local eatery for an early lunch that lasts until we need to pick up the kids. We reckon we have a few more years before the children cotton on. I am a firm believer in skiing - as it means I get to do a little exercise and a lot of eating.
There has been many Father Christmas discussions as we didn't bring gifts with us. So Santa (names are interchangeable to these darlings) was able to drop gifts off in Santa Barbara while dropping stockings off in Whistler. Morgan's believing days might be numbered.
The skiing has been amazing. The size of the resort is huge. A little of me wishes I had come here in my early 20s as the après ski seems to be world class. My liver is however grateful. The children are destroyed by the end of the day with tiredness, but then so are we! Mum and dad are enjoying walking around and chatting with anyone standing still long enough to strike up a conversation with. We miss Sian and Dan who are usually on this trip but keep out fingers crossed for next year.
Hope you all had a very merry Christmas and a fab new year.
