England's Knights

I thought the summer would be so long but it has proved to have gone so fast that I am feeling somewhat panicked. Not sure what I am panicking about but it feels good to be doing something useful. The children have enjoyed various camps, late nights and lots of telly. Oh! the shock to come once school rolls around again in just over a week. Good times ahead, I can feel it. No shouting or general stroppiness on the horizon at all.

The last part of the summer has been enjoyed at Grandparent Camp in England. For the first time in years the weather has been good and we have enjoyed being out and about meeting up with various friends without the need for winter jackets. Will has learnt about the joys of cricket and the despair of supporting Portsmouth FC. Morgan enjoyed speaking with an English accent but was relieved to find Disney on British TV.

It is a very strange week for me - I left the children and Michael in England as I needed to come back to work. It was very sad to leave them but the first cocktail on the aeroplane soon took care of that. They seem to be having a great time under Grandma and Danan rules. Today was a trip to the Isle of Wight where they got to dress up in chain mail and pretend to be in an olde time battle at a castle. All very exciting from what I could tell - they were still bouncing of the walls when I spoke to them at bedtime. My parents on the other hand, were ready for bed! Can't wait to have them home Saturday - jetlag and all.
