100 degrees

We are driving through Oklahoma. Its nearly 7pm and the outside temperature reads 100. Just trying to imagine what it must have been like for the wagon trains when they settled the west!
Children are plugged into the iPads for the first time in the car this trip. None of us had it in us to do anything other than veg.
Last night we stayed near Kansas City with some old friends from England. Had a great time but have a sore head today. I need to remember I'm not 25 anymore. Pictures to follow (of the visit, not my hangover). RP

*update* it is now 10pm and we are about an hour from the OK/TX border and the temperature has dropped to a balmy 88.
